Surly Dirt Wizards are amazing up front over winter, but overkill the rest of the year. Wouldn’t run one on the rear though.

My b+ came with rekons front and rear, but I put a DHR2 on the front for its second winter and never took it off again. Rekon on rear handles pretty much everything traction wise, with little drag penalty. Would be tempted by a DHF for the rear if needed a bit more bite, but have the old front still to wear out first.

I put a DHF 29x3" on the front last winter, and it's stayed on all year. Amazing grip, and rolls surprisingly well.

Kepta Chronicle on the back, and it was only in the last really wet ride I thought I might want something a bit grippier. When (if! It seems to be immortal....nearly 2000 miles and it looks unworn.) it wears out I'll probably put a DHR on the rear.
