I know tubeless on road bikes has been covered before, but what sealant are folk using? My current choice is too thin for high pressures, it simply sprays out like cheap fizzy wine. One tiny thorn hole held at around 40psi but a larger one went flat in seconds. I went to tubeless hoping to consign punctures to the past.
Stan's or orange endurance sealant with added pink glitter
Does it have to be pink glitter?
Nope, gold glitter works just as well in my experience.
Red is fasterest
I'm using Stans Race, 'cos that what I had and it works pretty well - ie not as well as on the MTB, and has struggled occasionally on edge of tread / sidewall punctures, but has plugged a large nail hole (3-4mm) in the middle of the tread. I know where I am with it, so unlikely to change.
Carry some superglue too.. if its a bigger hole that wont seal then glue it
The orange seal stuff is meant to be good.
