Same issue 2 times!

Ordered a chainguide. Stated dispatched. Never turned up. Phoned them and they said they were all out. Next batch coming in more than a month..

Ordered a renthal chainring for my XOs. Same thing happened but 3 month waiting list.

Not touching them with a barge poll.

Tweeks have been very good for me, and nearly as cheap as CRC, but with better stock levels for what I wanted.... ๐Ÿ™‚

So you waited 3 weeks for something not to arive, and didnt ring or email them then slag their company and staff off on a bike forum, perhaps ringing them first and geting their apology, and just shopping elsewhere would havebeen better.

Somebody may well read your rant and decide to shop elsewhere such is the power of the internet, and not good for the retailer.

I've only ever ordered one item from Tweeks.
Unfortunately it was out of stock (still listed as in stock on site) they gave me a call after a few days to let me know.

Not the end of the world, I ended up buying from CRC.
I just felt like giving someone else a chance (LBS couldn't supply).

I defo wouldn't wait three weeks....

Did not ring them as got some from my LBS in the end but thought they would be useful to have as spares. I will not use them again, you are free to risk it but be warned...

This. I had e-mail interaction with a manager there. Frankly appalling level of knowledge and service. So much so that I would never use them again. The level of incompetence I experienced could only be endemic to the entire company.

Given that DT have been in business for over 40 years I suspect they do have a clue about what they're doing.
Stuff does go wrong sometimes, accept it.
Why you would wait 3 weeks for a brake adapter and then grumble about being 'bikeless' on a forum is completely beyond me. Why didn't you just buy from someone else?

Guess things can always go wrong and it's frustrating but I got great advice/service when I bought a set of car alloys a while back...

Used thema few times and found them very good...customer service was good when you actually contacted them.

Prices seem good, they actually carry a good range of stuff unlike CRC. I'll be using them again in the future.

As long as they are cheap, folk will go to them. It's Dave Hinde-ism.

Having a shocker with them at the minute myself - ordered a jersey over the weekend, updated my new address details during the order process and paid with paypay showing the correct address details. Email confirmation came through showing dispatch to wrong address. I emailed them immediately and followed up with a call once they re-opened but "order was showing as processed" - i.e. was in a heap in the corner waiting for parcelforce to collect that evening and they couldn't be arsed to go and look for it.

So they knowingly let it leave heading for the wrong address, where it has now been delivered and disappeared without trace. So far I've been accused of trying to steal from them (not sure how that works!) and have been told to go to my old address to collect the parcel (an hour away!).

Pretty top notch customer service I'd say!!!

Normally OK for me but recently ordered a pair of shoes shown as in stock but not actually.

This is typical of a lot of mail order businesses - their stock control systems can be useless. I really don't want to order something that isn't in stock....and they take your money!

Solution? I ring them up to order.....

Communication is the name of the game.

Having a shocker with them at the minute myself

Credit where credit's due... After the initial unhelpful approach, they have sorted out the issue and called a couple of times to keep me up to date with what was going on and the check I received the item once the tracking showed it had been delivered.

So may actually use them again in the future...

not ordered anything with them yet but have emailed them to check a couple of things(discount with singletrack card etc) and got an email back the next day(not auto generated) which is better than crc have ever managed so looks likely that they will be getting my money(note to tweeks now having said this YOU better have the bike i want in stock) ๐Ÿ˜€

Off topic but,

This is typical of a lot of mail order businesses - their stock control systems can be useless.

I've had this a couple of times with different companies and it's inexcusable. I'll sometimes choose a retailer based on stock levels for time-critical stuff, and it's vexing when you get an "oops, sorry" email. Not good enough. If you can't display stock accurately, don't display it.

Aren't companies deliberately keeping phantom stock on their websites so they still show up on google?

Tweeks are my first stop these days when looking for bike bits, and bikes come to think of it.

Not been let down by them once yet and on the rare occasion where I've needed to check details they've answered the phone pretty much immediately or responded via proper e-mail with a helpful response.

I'm sure they'll be seeing a lot more of my dosh in the future.

Last time I ordered something out of stock, they gave me an estimate, I decided to source elsewhere, and took my time cancelling the order, in which time they got stock early and sent it to me. I'd treat the August date as a cautious nworst case one tbh.

All good for me, try ringing them up rather than placing order online they sourced a SRAM part for me and automatically gave me a 25% off the RRP very approachable and are now my first choice along with the incredibly nice chap at UK Bike Store ๐Ÿ˜€

I ordered a Sram groupset off them with a great discount.

Ordered on Wednesday at 11pm and I got an e-mail 6.30pm today saying that it's all been sent out.

I've certainly got no complaints.
