I've got a new wheelset coming tomorrow (DT Swiss E1900) that are tubeless ready and come with tubeless tape although for the time being I'll be running tubes due having a non tubless Trail King rear (very thin sidewalks). Would the tubeless tape suffice as rim tape or would I need rim tape to run tubes?
I'll be going tubless in the next few weeks when I get a new rear tyre that won't leak like a really bad leaky thing.
Yeah, tubes should be absolutely fine on tubeless tape.
You might get away with tubeless-ing the non-TLR Trail King, by the way, I have a non-TLR Baron that runs quite happily - took in quite a lot of sealant to stop the sidewalls leaking over the first few rides but fine once it settled down.
Ah happy days. Hmmm, sounds like I should have a crack at going tubeless with the TK then. I'll sling in a shed load of sealant and keep an eye on it. Top man
