Have my roadrat currently set up for commuting, stock wheels with GP4000s tyres, but a mate is disposing of a set of XT 29er wheels that I was thinking of snapping up, stick some suitable tyres on and add a bit of off road to my commute for the dry summer months (or the couple of dry days anyhow)
I know the wheels are tubeless compatible, and I'd liek to make use of that for puncture protection, but standard MTB 29er tyres won't fit the roadrat - are there CX tyres that will do the trick?
I'll be watching this thread with interest as my cross bike is built with arch 29er rims. I'd been looking at the schwalbe tyres with the EVO sidewall. I think the racing Ralph 700 have it. That's supposed to work will tubeless. Hutchinson do some tubeless ready cross tyres that work with conventional rims but I believe are a bit too tight on Stan rims.
I didn't know 700c Ralphs existed. I'll pop those top of my list too, nice one.
Next day tyres had some. And nobby nics I think.
No one else running tubeless cx?
clubber does, few others IIRC.
If i remember correctly, Michelin muds worked well on crest rim but bonty Jones was terrible.
Hopefully someone will confirm!
