I won the Weakest Link on BBC1. Got £2500.

Won a bike radar / skoda ride in cheddar gorge with rapha condor sharp and spent about half the ride talking to John tiernan Locke about mtb and life. Was great 🙂

I've won a big bag of sweets in a Desperate Dan competition (I had to draw a picture of desperate dan and write a poem.)

I've won a hundred pounds on the premium bonds. (I bought a ZX80 with that)

We used to know a woman who was a serial competition enterer. She spent all her time filling out competition forms, writing poems and slogans, spotting differences and so on. He husband used to get really angry about it because she used it as an excuse to not go to work, reckoned it'd pay off in the long run. She never won anything more than a few pounds when we knew them.

Few years ago I won "letter of the month" in a mtb mag and won a very nice Giro Xen helmet....

I did as well great helmet.

Working in a steelworks my dad entered me in the prize draw to win a prize, somebody ranmg me up and told me i had won 5 ton of coal, and where did i want it delivered, gave them the address,ad said leave it on the lawn.Just thought it was a joke as i was a joker.

Got home the lawn was destroyed, instead of bringing it in bags they used a hopper and a conveyor belt and shot the 5 ton of coal over the wall.

Also won a folding bike, and a thule euroclassic towbar mount bike rack and its for sale.Never used

I won a week's riding with Switchbacks DH erlier in the year, based on past performance I'll be struggling mightily by the end of day 4 🙂

That reminds me, I must book some flights...

Won £500 on spot the ball 18 years ago that paid for a lads holiday to Ibiza. Always thought how close I was to winning the first prize of £25000. Also won the complete mapping of England in 1.25 size on viewranger for my iPhone.

£636 on the pools once. Just stuck the right number of X's in a column randomly. Quit while I was ahead, and put it towards 1st ski holiday.

Won a Bell motorcycle in a design the paintjob comp in Performance Bikes yonks ago. £300 odd quid on pools once. About £400 on lottery. Lot's of entries to bike events including that years worth of racing with Singletrack. Entry to inov8 IROC event. Just won entry to CRC mountain marathon & sportive. Various football tickets. Why, oh why can't I win a bike?? ;0)

Won a free tuition session with Ridelines, combined with a testride of an Ibis Mojo HD, thanks to thebikechain... That was ace!

The one and only time I did the pools I won about £700 - figured that lightning doesn't strike twice and never bothered again.

Also won a CD player in a Kerrang competition.

If we're doing non-bike, I won backstage passes to see the Almighty from Kerrang magazine, that was ace. And a nice Yamaha-branded watch from a motorbike mag, which I sold for a surprising amount of money considering it looked like it was from Argos.

Two Wheels Only magazine still owe me a carbon AGV helmet 👿

Won every OS Explorer map in Wales back in 2000. Pretty cool prize, although most are unopened. Tend to just use the local maps.

Best bike related prize was probably winning a Commencial Meta for beating Steve Peat at Bike Radar Live a good few years ago.

I used to be, when it was mainly postal entries. These days, most comps are on the internet and get thousands of entries, so it's hard to win now.

A double suss Raleigh BSO in a raffle, think I kept the chain and inner tubes, rest got recycled back into a railway track or ocean going tanker.

Years ago, I was part of a lottery syndicate. There were 16 of us. We won a tenner, just ahead of the Grand National. Choosing not to split 10 quid 16 ways, it was dutifully placed as bets on four horses in the race.

One never ran, the second fell at the third fence, and they shot the other two.

So no, not really.

Flights and accomodation for 2 to new zealand to race in the moonshine trail event in gore.

Prize draw for doing all three 10s the first year.

i came second in a game magazine competition when i was about 10. got a copy of, i think, the second rayman before it had been released in shops which was very cool. but it was for nintendo and we only had a playstation 🙁

sold it to the local game shop for £60, which, for a ten year old ten years a go, was a serious load of cash. I probably bought more games with the money.

I won a Radio 1 t-shirt (too big). Another time I won a Radio 1 hoodie (too small). Can't remember how or why, it was probably one of those "enter your details on this website" competitions.

I won a set of forks from Bronto bikes at the SSEC 2011.

Yep. Me too! I broke that one and got a replacement for £30 ish, which I'm still using.

Entered a video game review in The Times when I was about 10, got published and won copies of the games SPQR and Safecracker. Both ridiculously hard puzzle games that I had no chance of completing at the time. Nothing else.
