Good afternoon.
For the mongrel bike, I bought some TRP compressionless brake cables for the cable operated discs...
Presume I put the short armoured length into the levers?

It's a flexible length that's only needed for tight curves, often found where internally routed cables exit the chainstay. If you can get away without using it then that's what you should do.
