I know this is technically the wrong forum for road bikes But i know alot of you all have them. anyway I've got the chance of getting one of these 2nd hand (2006 model with some upgrades) I've ridden it and it feels ok although I probably shorten the stem a touch for comfort. wheels are kysriums ?sp and only 2000km I get the impression these are good workhorse bikes which is what I'm after. Just wondered what people thought, am i wrong about this bike. it's a bit more than i'd like to pay for it 400 quid but bikes are expensive here in NZ by comparison with the UK and it's what the market will pay. I bought a secondhand Trek 1200 a few months back and paid £300 for it.Lower spec than the 1400,but its turned out to be a really good bike.
The Trek SL frames are very nice.
I have a 2007 1400 60cm and a trek 1200 2006 - both good bikes.
