[#711483]

I'm looking on the flea-bay at the moment for a set of Rebas (idealy the 'team' model, in silver). Are all the various variants from say, 2006-2008 travel adjustable?

...And is the adjustable travel range the same on each model?

I'd be looking to run them in the range 80 - 100mm (ideally 80mm), but some of the ones I've seen say they are 110-115mm travel, or something like that.. Would I be able to reduce the travel on these ones to 80mm?

Confusing..

Cheers!

Yes. You have to strip the air cartridge and add a spacer to reduce the travel. All Rebas can be done like this.

You don't even have to remove the lowers / air cartridge.

- Let all the air out of both chambers.
- undo the top cap - 24mm socket.
- undo the 5mm allen bolt in the bottom of the LH leg.
- compress the fork (catch the oil out of top & bottom).
- slot a spacer in on the shaft.
- put back together.
- simplez.

that is a good tip,

does that work for increasing travel, ie do they all go up to 115, if mine are 100mm will there be a spacer to remove to go to 115?

Cheers for the info..! but, sorry to be pedantic, just to clarify - do ALL Rebas go down to 80mm?

@ timdrayton - I'll send you an email..!

tim, iirc there will be a 15mm spacer in your fork (behind the topout bumper) that you remove: this lets the fork extend to 115mm then.
The sram service guide pretty much explains it all.

edit: no reason why any (normal not air u-turn) reba couldn't go down to 80mm if you put another 20mm spacer in.

Pre '09 rebas: 85/100/115mm

09: 80/100/120mm

All adjusted with spacers (unless they are a u-turn model).
