Hello,
I'm being allowed out tomorrow morning ๐Ÿ™‚

I know some brilliant stuff around the Sutton Bank Black Hambleton area, but browsing google earth it looks like there's some great stuff round slightly more northerly parts. Cringle, Urra and Cold moor areas.

Any pointers on bits not to miss?

PS I will be going very, very early so cheeky rules will apply ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks for any pointers!

It's well worth an explore around the area. The woodland bits are best left to a dry period though (can be v. muddy)

Cheers Davo, chop gate is on the list for tomorrow. Just plotted a 40k and 1700m climbing route. It is quite hilly round there ๐Ÿ™‚

Cringle Moor is home to the (misleadingly named) Carlton bank DH track which is good fun, if you're into that. Not too technical or steep, and the jumps are avoidable/decent depending on your idea of fun.
Just Cross the fence to North West of the very summit, then descend!

Also the Urra Moor descent back to Chop Gate is great, Calderdale has nothing on the NYM

Any recommendations on where to stay in/near Stokesley?
Potentially staying overnight there 4th September so hoping to get a couple of hours ride early evening on the Moors after work.
