[Closed] Track pump - how to disable auto head?

Trying to blow up a tubeless tyre but the air keeps coming out the schrader hole instead of the presta hole.

Tried creating a little back pressure on the presta using a zip tie but no joy.

Any way I can disable the schrader hole?

Sounds like your pump is broken?

Cut off a schraeder valve from an old tube and hot glue the end up?

If I block up the schrader hole with my finger then that's where the air wants to come out. I assume the auto head rely's on back pressure to switch the head.

I'm thinking I need a new head but for now I want to get inflated (tubeless) and riding tonight if possible!

Dunno, an SKS one by any chance?

The head on mine is the bane of my life. As you say it seems to rely on back pressure, so tubeless is really hard work.

Lift the handle up, then let it fall as you attach the head, the air coming out is hopefully be enough to open the right bit of the valve. Although TBH it barely seems to be any more lucky than just repeatedly putting it on and off until it works.

Anyone recommend an aftermarket head?

My SKS one does the same.
I screw the presta valve shut then try to pump it up and obviously fail then carefully take it off undo the valve and re-attach that usually tricks it in to letting me pump up a flat tyre

Top Peak Mountain Morph.
After the original switchable head broke (made of cheese) I got a generic head from LBS.

Yea - can anyone recommend a aftermarket head?
