Yup I'd vote for Flows too, EN321's are tough as hell but slightly lardy into the bargain

They're 110gms heavier than the Flow.

Also, the Stans make it easier to go tubeless,if that floats your boat.Look at the Justridingalong site for options, you may get them built cheaper, but quality counts.

happy with my Hope Hoops pro 2 on Mavic EN521s good strong wheels and not too heavy either; have stayed true for 1000 miles XC / trail centre riding 🙂

Wouldn't worry too much about the weight difference. I've had/got both: weighed on the same digital scales...
Hope Pro2 with Flow Rear: 997g
Hope Pro2 with 321 Rear: 1090g

If you're going tubeless then the Flow but other than that, it's whatever is available imo

Very impressed with my new Flow rims. Light and strong, have them on my Meta 5 and they take fast Peak descents in their stride. Spent last night clobbering them down the DH tracks in Wharncliffe with no problems so chuffed so far with my first non Mavic rims for years. Pretty light for the strength. No eyelets though.

Stans arch are slightly narrower and lighter, but flows are pretty similar.

I ran hope \ 521s for years (bought them off gravity slave funnily enough). they are still as true as the day I got them. Moving to hope \ flow has transformed the bike though, they feel lots lighter. I'm surprised at how little weight difference nuke found but then I guess tubeless saves another ~100g per wheel?

And I'm clumsy as all hell but the stans seem to hold up fine, even when I crash at wharnecliffe

it's the en521 for me. great strength for the weight, strong enough even for downhill. half the price of flow rims as well.

Another recommend for the Flows, though since you've told us nothing about your riding that's really just a guess. Good chance you could go lighter, very little chance at all that you need to go heavier.

Well you'd hope so really! Considering the sort of purpose those rims are designed for, they should barely even notice a year of that kind of use.

You're not likely to be disappointed... When you see the use they get, Rowan Sorrell on his everyday bikes, Sabrina Jonnier for racing, knobbers like me riding downhill trails badly on short travel bikes... They do the job 😉

if you get a proper tubeless ready tyre you can run them tubeless with just the yellow tape, dont let anyone go telling you that you need a rimstrip

I got some Eskars on a pitch, they seemed really good, never tried them tubeless though. Bonty or Maxxis seem to sit nicely on flow

The pitch was where i got on the Eskar tip, whan they wear very well and i never had problem with grip, my riding buddy has some XR4's? on his Remedy and loves them, other mates swear by High rollers so i may try some to see what the hype is about. I have never tried to set up tubeless so i will probably go see Stu at dales and get him to set me up first time.

loads of people on here will give you advice about going tubeless when you are ready to give it a try. Sometimes its dead easy if the tyre fits well. It would be worth you getting the stans yellow rim tape (the wider one for flow) and the olympic valve on order if you want to give it a go. Sometimes they just go up with a track pump
