Nearly didn't do it with my 12 year old son today after all the internet negativity but very glad we did. Smooth and fast it is not but rocky west highland goodness it definitely is! A great challenging climb followed by a cracking descent, think we walked 3 short steep bits. Slightly controversially someone has been placing rocks in the drainage bars which makes them much easier to ride but not particularly effective at draining water I wouldn't have thought! Not on if you ask me.
