Nice Photos Rich, where did you go?
hi Rich, phoned up Alpkit a couple of times now and on the email waiting list.
Tell us more about your ride.
What’s the Helm like ?
What’s the mud clearance like?
Did it make you smile?
Cheers.
They’re great bikes, you won’t regret buying one. I love mine, makes me feel like I’m a kid again. I can’t speak for the helm as I put a pike on my frame, but mud clearance is very good — there’s a wee bit of strengthening welded behind the BB that fills up a bit, but hasn’t caused me any problems so far as it’s still quite a distance from the wheel.
Looks like a lovely bike and a great ride!
It felt just like my Evol in position wise which is good, not to long! Helm forks are ace so plush. Slight bit of tyre rub Vigilantis 2.6 when powering down conditions were brilliant today so lots of grip I pb a couple of tecky sections on Strava well pleased a very confidence inspiring ride if I did not have my Ti Stooge I would buy one with no hesitation

How does it compare to your Stooge?
different beast normally run carbon rigid on the Stooge only accepts 120mm of travel and not run 29 on my Stooge yet!
Hi Postierich, just sold the kidney and bought a frame plus a shed load of parts from CRC. Very excited. Had a Ti456 and I reckon this might be my go to “ make me smile” bike. Fingers crossed.
Pics of the build when it's done please! Tempted to demo one.
What size is that? Looks ace
Great photos. That looks really good, if I was feeling flush I’d be tempted by one of those.
Great photos and info. I'd have one in a flash if looking at a new bike and considering full build is around £2k it is good value for a ti bike. I'd have one any day over a sodamax.
However looking forward to the upcoming steel signal
I’ve got one and it’s a cracking bike. I have no idea how to post photos otherwise I’d put a couple up. Got the xl frame (I’m 6’3”) and built it up with 120 Pike and hunt trail wide wheels. Rode the ‘puffer on it this year and it was perfect. My s150 has been hardly used since I got it as it’s perfect for most of my local (sub-gnar) riding.
Trying to forget about this days riding as it was so good 🙂 might have to buy a frame now
Ps The chap who demoed my evol bought the same set up, and is totally made up with it

Thanks dd, that was easy!
No worries and thanks for.photos, Looks so low for an xl!
It is pretty low. Not too much of a gate. Loads of standover clearance and room for a long dropper. Mine is obviously deeply uncool as it has both flat bars and bar ends. I do like bar ends.
These are very tempting. Torn between Signal or Broken Road. What’s Signal like on xc stuff?
I had a demo of an xl today. Coming from a large tarn with a reach of 465, i figured I'd size up as the low standover and seattube allowed it. At 6'1 with a 150mm dropper the post was as low as possible but saddle wasn't too high.
Did 35km in the peak. It felt very comfortable from the start. Saddle was a bit more forward than on my other bikes but with the extra reach and a 35mm stem it felt spot on. I expected it to feel low being 10mm lower than my tarn, but had no issues with pedal strikes on the rocky climbs. It felt very balanced, great up and down. Compliance through the rear felt similar to my tarn, though hard to compare with a 2.6 tyre and having been on the full sus over the past month.
Not 100% yet whether I'll buy a frame but I suspect I will later this year.

@davros nothing to add but it was nice to chat earlier, I was on the Cotic Flare at the top of shit bastard with my wife 😀
Hey thin homer! Thanks, chatted to a few friendly folk out today. I think everyone was happy to be out after that week of weather. Good to meet a forumite out in the wild!
Great looking bike. How does it perform with 2.25 inch tyres on ?
@Wally how do you like it compared to the ti456? I have the ti456 evo and I'm looking to replace it with the signal
