mmmmmm, cake.
Nice ๐
Did just over 20 miles around there today myself, it's starting to dry out nicely, shame it's going to rain most of next week again. ๐
i think i saw MBoy there too, two riders took us down "double death drop" which was, erm.. entertaining on a rigid forked HT ๐ฏ ๐
Today I rode past here...

almost, but not quite. Snaggletooth insisted I stop anyway.

Haha, you probably did! If I had been paying attention i'd have probably seen you too!
Where was I when you saw me? If it was by the Helipad, I was looking around admiring the scenery when I noticed Sarah had just dropped a couple of gears to just go straight up the climb, so when I thought I'd have a minute or two to chill there was none of it!
Which is "double death drop" anyway? Do you mean the drop at the Helipad? I had a sphincter twitching moment at the end of "Caravan", where I always take an alternative ending (as shown to me by SSStu) which is much steeper... Only it has really eroded in the last couple of months! Bare roots all over now... And even steeper if anything!
Cake looks good .
Nice cake selection! Must get myself reacquainted with that model again.
saw you coming down the fireroad towards the cross roads (the one with the left turn to the new bridge) then you cut into the trees, we were making our way back over to Kinlet
Ah gotcha
Was one of your gang on an Orange Orange 5 with Grey Fox Forks? That was about the only bike I made out, before I headed down that trail.
Orange 5? We have more taste than that! ๐
this is double death drop, looks very tame from the angle of the cam (attached to stem) but riding it blind on a Rigid HT was fun ๐
Ah, it wasn't an Orange Orange 5, it was an Orange coloured hardtail (of some description) with Fox forks, and now I come to think of it, I remember clocking that green (Genesis? Maybe Cove?) bike too... Must pay attention more!!! ๐ณ
Can't for the life of me think where that steep section you're doing above is though, not where I thought at all.
Do you know much of the Wyre? More than welcome to tag along next time if you want to be shown some more trails, I know a bit but Sarah who I ride with normally knows the place pretty much inside out. We ended up showing round a rather faster group of riders the other week which was fun, even if I could barely walk the next day!
the guys who showed us the trail were on an orange and a green cove stiffee, must of been them you saw, they were ahead of us.
yea i know it well, i don't remember that drop being "double" though, there might be another drop further up the river valley
ok starting from the bridge that replaced the ford heading away from the visitor centre direction take the 1st fireroad on the left, climb until you get to the highest point, then drop down a little and it's on the left, there's a great trail further on on the right too where you can really get some speed up through the trees
