The lane leading to Lydeard Hill car park, sorry, I couldn't find a post to lean the bike against.

Now thats a real Winter Wonderland!
That looks amazing. You must have had a load of snow. How long were you out for? Any more pics? I suppose you were to busy to bother with the camera though. Rob
WOOOOOOOOOOOAHHHH!
That looks wonderful!
looks sh1te. 😉
I bumped into nerdboi up there too, I thought I was mad, but he was on a SS
Another pic (the Range Rover's stuck on top of a hedge)

Are you sure you didn't walk through the wardrobe into Narnia?
I reckon the White Witch would have been along any minute!
Seeing that 2nd pic, I'm now feeling very envious.
in the first picture is yet another s/s inbred I see
AGAIN
Wash your mouth out, its a Whyte 19 with gears 😀
Where did the Range Rover Driver think they were going?
my guess is they thought they were going around the bend? probably thought they could get away with it - being an off-roader
ok it a white sorry
Are you a inbred????????
BTW glad you've got your power back Dibbs 😉
wicked pics chaps ! I had a great day starting at the docs having needles stuck in me then work untill 5. Im hoping to get up there tomorrow . Whats the snow like on an SS ?
The power was still off when I got home, it must have been off for about 5 hours in total.
If you can gEt up there 5ounds like it will be a Challange
is dibbs getting a bit sensative about his bikes 😆
the big question is hows that lump of junk steel coming of the hedge, if the snow melts first it is going to roll on its side nice pic though
knottie8 - I think the snow on any bike is hard work, esp. where there are drifts. Both Dibbs and I were running skinnies on the back and wider tyres on the front...
It gets easier the steeper the downhill, where you can get up momentum.
I might be tempted out again tomorrow if the roads are a bit clearer
I own at least one Marin, how can anyone own a Marin and still be sensitive 🙂
Its freezing hard here at the moment, it should be fun up there tomorrow 😯
Excellent proper snow at last, we've only had a light covering here 2" max a bit more a few miles up the road though enough to scare the southerners.
Im more concerned with where to start the ride from ...
This afternoon you could probably get a car up Cothelstone Hill as far as Paradise. Crowcombe Hill was already closed by Thursday afternoon.
Im more concerned with where to start the ride from ...
Yeah, I cycled out from Taunton today but that took a while - I'd quite like to get a bit closer tomorrow...
Im thinking Blue Ball at Triscombe as an easy place to start from , unless Dibbs has a horror report of deep snow there ? That would leave Triscombe downhill as a finish ...
looks magical down there! great pics 🙂
It was still snowing when I was up there, but the sun came out this afternoon, I bet it was pretty spectacular then.
Have a good one fellas and Knottie remember the camera. Off to investigate the snowfall on Dartmoor in a bit...If i can make it over Haldon Hill.
so your joining us today then dave?
I remember what riding in the snow on the Q's was like now ihave to put up with 30 degree heat. Have some good riding.
all roads to princetown are currently closed...
I got stuck in Crowcombe car park on Saturday and had to dig a path out for the car for 3/4 of an hour 😳
Quality pics, love the rangrover in a bush lol
Yo Mike D, yeah i'm sure you're hating not being here......
Lucky bugger!
I drove to work up Crowcombe Hill this evening, it was a "little" bit slippery. I won't be going home that way in the morning 😐
