To split or not too...

[Closed] To split or not too split, that is my question

I have decided to part with both my bikes to be able to buy a new model, problem is they are both 26’ which is as about as popular as a fart in a spacesuit these days. My main bike a an immaculate Cotic Soul with Reba forks, full 2 X 10 speed XTR drive and brakes and Hope wheels, all kept with beautiful by a perfectionist !
What’s my best option, sell it as a whole or split it ????
With my Epic ill simply sell it as it came out of the box.

Has anyone here any salient advise ?

Most money? Split.

Least agro? Don't split.

What size? Good 26ers in S or M will be popular for young teenagers. If it's XL then sell the brakes and hang it on yr wall.

Deffo split, people want bits. Although if the covid market is still strong, you'll probably sell them quite quickly any way...

+1 then try a stealth as 🙂

In the woods today I saw 4 MTBs. 3 out of 4 were 26".

Everything will sell for the right price

What rims are the hope wheels on?

Have you checked what decent 26" MTBs (and your sounds very decent) go for on eBay. There is still a good market for them and you could get £700+ (would you get that for the parts?)
You may get a bot more by splitting but I would make my life a LOT easier and sell as collection only rather than have to list and send out 10+ items using postal services that are struggling as much as they ever have meaning dealing with missing items etc,.

Good quality 26" forks and wheels are an easy sale, everything else your market is much smaller.

Last time I tried selling a 26" bike on Ebay I had lots of time wasters and insulting offers, despite it being in totally mint condition. So I stripped it down and made more money in quite a short time period.

Cheers lads, yeah, I’m not sure what to do, i think ONZADOG has pretty much nailed it though, what’s the best platform to sell it ?, i haven’t done this in years and i am not really up to speed on this stuff.

The Hopes are built into Stans Flow EX.
Thompson stem and Easton bars.

I wouldn’t sell your bikes until you’ve made sure you can actually buy a new bike that you want!

If the Flow EX/Hope wheels are Pro2 and black on black I am interested in them if you do split. ;o)

Just what I've been looking for.

I would list complete bike on on eBay for a set price, local collection only and see what interest you get for a few weeks.
