XT for £28

XTR sounds a good deal, but are they any better and will they fir with SLX cranks

Cheers

How's about Pro-lite Stainless BB for £30, very nice, better bearings than Shimano and cheaper than the Hope equivalent

i think external BB are flawed design so would not bother spending loads of money on hope or any other BB unless the design is significantly different. having amazing bearings etc is all irrelevant the second water gets to it
the next one i'm trying is a deore BB

How about my Hope (Stainless Steel) for £38 posted?

Includes spacer (not in pic)

Smooth as butter, cosmetic marks from removal, but far from damaged/chewed up.

Drop me a line - in profile.

I'm sold on the Hope's, have had one running for a year now - still smooth.

Can you change the bearings in the Shimano ones?

i've taken old bearing out of an xt BB which is fairly hard to do, also split the cap, very easy to do.

have the bearing numbers but bizarley not sure if they are the right size.., would really want to have a good supply of top hats too
