I live next to a pub. Normally I make it home before falling asleep, but I could try knocking back a few more to try and pass out on the grass.

Mendips bivvy sounds like an ace idea. Failing that, IanMunro's idea has a certain charm.

Anyone up for central London? Blackfriars or similar? Hell, won't even need to bring a bag, just find a cardboard box. Thought not...

There is always a "suspension of disbelief" clause in the media. So yes, I think cheating in moderation is allowed.

Well, best laid plans...
I can either bivvy for a half decent nights sleep with a group from work, arriving by canoe on an island at midnight...Or can paddle solo a mile further, collect the bike and then head for my choice cave - meaning I would get there at around 1am, ready for a 6am start back to the island to paddle off with the group....hmmm

First choice cave:

Myself and Scratch will be getting rained on somewhere in South Wales tomorrow night. I can't wait!
Is it just me or has the news item associated with this been taken off the front page?

Weather is perfect here, I have a spot picked, gear been packed for days but parents have messed my plans up as need to be there first thing tomorrow demolish some trees for logs. Now not so tempted to sleep under the stars getting very little sleep and then chop up a tree or two.

Two potential sites spotted whilst riding on Sunday, kit packed to sound of falling rain here in Devon and I've just realized no matter what I try and loose the basha just won't fit in the pack.

Berghaus Mach 24 pack with army surplus bivvy bag, sleeping bag, stove, steel mug, brew kit, muesli pre-mixed with drie3d milk for breakfast, mini jaffa cakes, pump, patches, tube, multi-tool etc, torch. I won't share where as to say it's cheeky is an understatement.......

I can't fit my stove in and struggling to get a fleece in so bare essentials for me, no food and possibly a little water. So if I do go I'll be blasting back on the roads on a empty stomach which given my build will hurt.

If the weather stays like it currently is for me I'll be riding out in my waterproof allowing me to fit the basha in hopefully

I'm all packed and ready to go.

Bivi bag, sleeping bag and roll mat on the bike.

Got the rest of my stuff in my cock n balls bag.

Just waiting for the Mrs to get back from work and Sheldon to arrive. Then we'll be off for a ride followed by the pub then on to a nice cave.
