Thornilee - is it all gone?

[#13536028]

Heading up to Tweed Valley tomorrow for the first time in probably over a year. I have heard that thornilee was being felled quite a while ago - has this finished and are the trails still going? It was probably my favourite spot in the valley so would love to get back there if it's still there.

Thanks in advance.

Quick check on strava suggests that its all but gone, no times posted on the popular tracks.

Looking at trail forks it looks like its gone apart from bench press and even thats saying theres a hung tree blocking the path, (dated Screenshot_20260624_183701_Trailforks.jpg april 15th)

Thanks for all the responses. Also got local knowledge yesterday confirming all the above - but that cademuir is running well so planning a few laps there with a bit of a glentress pedal too.

Shame it's gone though 😢

Yeah, we went to TL last year a couple of times before the felling started, best rides of year they were! Even Bench Press is/was great just for a quick "easy" blast.

As there seems to be a bit of local knowledge on this thread does anyone know what state Yair is in after the felling?  I'd been told to expect similar to Thornielee but don't know anyone thats actually been since the felling started

The fella I was chatting to on the golfie climb said Yair is now back up and running. Advised some caution as if you have a nasty off you might not see anyone for a good while. Haven't been myself this week and probably unlikely to go.

Really sad this, I had a string of "last rides at Thornielee" when they kept putting back the works, the actual last last ride was probably my best of the year.
