Anybody got any thoughts? What are they like compared to a Five Ten or a Fox Union? Cheers

I made the switch across from Five Ten when they started to go downhill after they were bought by Adidas.

Big fan of RC. Been using the Tallac both lace and boas for a while now. Mega grippy, wide toe box and supportive sole.

I don't even bother entertaining anything else.

Prefer them to five tens, can’t comment on comparison to fox as not used them before. But RC are fairly cost effective and work for me

Are we talking flats or clips?

The RC Tallac is my first pair of clippy shoes and I like them but I've got nothing to compare them to. I like that I can get the cleat far enough back that it almost matches where I'd stand on a flat pedal.

They seem fairly tough and well built.

I really like my Fox Union flats. I'll definitely have another pair of those at some point.

Interested in flats. Sizing about normal?

I bought my usual UK 10 and they're bang on. They'd be a tight fit with my waterproof socks on I think.

I have a pair of Vice low tops. Don't rate them for riding but they are the most comfortable everyday shoes I've ever had.

I have a pair .l, I think there the hellions .

Always liked 5 10 freerider pros and had tried a few other brands but didn't really like any as much as the 5 10s but the RCs have been as good as freeriders . I would buy again .

I have the Accomplice model and really like them. Very light, airy and quick drying. Grippy but not too grippy, and stiff but not rigid. Reinforced toe area which has saved me a few times. They also have a sock-like tongue which keeps all the trail debris out.

Someone in another thread chastised me for buying the rubbish ones, but I'd happily buy another pair.

I sized up half a size.

I have 3 pairs. Bought about 18 months ago at great discount.

Looking at the current range I think mine align to Powerline, Livewire, and Vice (low) models.

grip on the Powerline and Livewire is on par with old FiveTens. The Vice is more of a casual/BMX/skate shoe imo. Its grip and sole pattern are not great and it is too flexible for mtb.

Fit is good on all of them with a comfy toe box. The Powerlines dry quickly.

I rate them and would feel OK if I’d paid full price for the Powerlines. As it was, I got all three pairs for that price.

edit - sizing. I usually take an 8 in regular shoes. From the faded label these are a US 10, EU 43, and I suppose a UK 9. They fit comfortably with regular socks and I can squeeze my feet in with no real discomfort wearing SealSkinz.

I have the Powerline, which are a great sturdy, quite grippy shoe.  But if I'm riding anything with a bit of gravity I wear my 5Ten Freerider Pros.  Paired with DMR Vaults they are ridiculously grippy!
