Arrived at work this morning after a few days out the office and the new Alpkit Gateshead store has started to be fit out opposite where I work. Next to Cycle Republic and Evans at the Metrocentre. Lunch now so going to wander over to see if anyone knows when they're opening.
Opening tomorrow if anyone's interested.
I remember when they were starting out in a dodgy industrial unit in Ilkeston, and they'd drop my orders off on their way home, at various bikes of the night!

I went to the current HQ with a mate to look at head torches, ended up test riding a carbon fat bike round the car park 🤦
As they sell chep bikes with good demos then this can only be a good thing
Never really had “brand loyalty before, but gotta say I love Alpkit/Sonder stuff. It’s not perfect but it’s all great kit at bloody great prices. Customer service has been and still is superb.
In my opinion Alpkit is the best outdoor equipment company there has ever been.
