I'm after a new bike and the new stylie adventure bike looks to fit the bill - I'll use the bike for 30-40 road rides across pretty poor surfaces, paths, nipping across golf courses (carrying the bike off course...) and cruising forest paths with the kids. I need a little help choosing, willing to spend absolutely max £1500 but would prefer nearer £1000
I seem to be drawn to the following: On One Bish Bash Bosh (£1400), Specialised Diverge Comp E5 (£1500). Specialised has the name, slightly tighter geometry and lots of good reviews. Whereas the On One has the carbon frame, slightly longer wheelbase so I'm guessing may be nicer ride. I'm bang on 5'8 so, according to the size charts, I should be on a 50 On One or a 54 Diverge, although that seems a little weird. Any recommendations on frame sizing on these two bikes and any good words on these bikes or indeed anything else appreciated.

I got a diverge E5 comp only had it a week love it so far, started a thread on it. Its specced less well than rivals but the head shock thingy is really good and I wanted to support my lbs. I'm 5foot10 and have a 56.

Friend has just built up a surly straggler with 105 groupset etc with 650b .
It looks amazing and rides very nicely .
Beautiful mint geeen colour.
He did it for around 1100, he had the wheels though.
But should easily come in under 1500 I would have thought

If that's a 2018 Diverge then I'd not hesitate.

Sonder Camino would be worth a look too! Brilliant value, is made for all terrain and punches well above its weight. Love mine.

I'm really impressed with my Camino AL Apex1 hydraulic. Done about 250km on mixed surfaces from lovely new tarmac to rocky forest tracks and it's very capable. WTB Riddler 37c tyres are fab.

I have. BBB which I built as a frameset. Really nice ride, very light and pretty relaxed ride.
I have a 54 and feel it’s just a little long for me at 170, 52 or 50 sounds right. Looking at the build I would say it’s good value.
