Considering a new frame (Yeti 5) which has a tapered headtube. Now ive already worked out that my standard 1 1/8th headset wont fit, but does this mean I need to buy new forks too, with a tapered steerer. Or can you get some adapter gubbins that goes in there and means you can use standard steerer forks?
Apologies for the slightly silly question, but its been a long day...

Your existing forks will work fine, but you will need a reducer lower cup and a standard normal one. Cane Creek should have a such a thing. You may even find your existing 1 1/8th head set will be able to donate the top cup.
