There seem to be quite a few very cheap carbon fibre saddles around - in the £20 - £50 price range. And with a claimed weight of around 120g.

Has anyone tried one of these? Thoughts? Are they any good? Comfortable? Disintegrate in the rain?

Thanks!

I know some guys who run expensive ones and like them. Not sure about thin cheap carbon to sit on though.

If they are on eBay or from China etc.. they will be knock offs which have a mix of very little carbon fibre and are mostly fibre glass, when they break (which they will) all those fibre glass strands are gonna hurt you arse and you will have no warranty claim

Ive had a couple of genuine carbon saddles on my road bike, they can be comfortable with the right padded shorts and if any issues do start to arise you have a warranty

I have one. It appears to be mostly carbon fibre and the weight is as claimed.

Bought it for the hill climb season. It was surprisingly comfortable. Probably did around 3 or 400 miles on it (as I trained and rode to events). Was fine. It has now come off as I prefer my fabric cut away but it'll go back on in September.

I have this one which appears to be no longer available.
