As above! Sportive = Audax with marketing and more crabon fribe than you can shake a powertap hub at!

You've forgotten of course that sportives usually have food provided and route markings.

Well............... go to the top of the class and sharpen the rubbers

so for my £15 I got all the drinking water I needed, 4 or five flapjacks, 2 sausage rolls, some bananas, a baked potato and chilli washed down with a big cup of tea
Hot showers and a changing room

Not quite.

Audax = self sufficient, real one with points start at 200 km

Sportive = supported tend to max out at around 200 odd km
