Scary flexi for a 15st er or just get used to it. Not bothered about performance on the rough and flexing aback over roots instead of being stiff like steel etc just wondered if they are on your mind. I use carbon bars for mtb and carbon forks and steerer on road bike and its never worried me but forks on the rough stuff ? What dya recon.

great on the road
but being just over 20stone, i would not dare ride them offroad.
afterall, they are made from plastic.

Carbon on ones here at 14st or so.
Never even crossed my mind they would fail, nice and beefy
Steerer is ally.
Carbon bars / stems I would have a problem with.
And once snapped a carbon post.

You'll be fine mate

They'll flex less than any suspension fork you own most likely

My 16st was happily blasting some RC31's till I read the weight limit thing. Bought some On-One's & they were bit less flexy but lot more confidence inspiring. Would happily buy again. Have you seen some in the flesh...they are pretty beefy.

on ones are tough, but a rigid carbon fork and a big old bloke bouncing over ruts and roacks does not make for a happy combination.
common sense must prevail sometimes........... 8)

I've got a set of On One 29er forks that arrived this week that will be going on an inbred and i'm 15/16st. No weight limit on them so i shall ride them as normal. I have a set of 26" rigid carbon forks on my old commute mtb which has a carbon steerer which i would not be happy to ride offroad unless i was a few stone lighter (and didn't have double the permitted spacers on).

I am a Steve, yes. ๐Ÿ™‚

Was 16st but got diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes last month and am now under 15.5st and will probably stay there now as i can't eat all my nice chocolate bars. ๐Ÿ™

Less strain on my rigid carbon forks though so all's well that ends well!

Where have i met you then Mr Swede?

Hello fella, never knew TheSwede was you!

Thought you were supposed to be joining us at the wyre the other week for a bit of mud plugging?

You'd be welcome to have a punt on my 29er On One fork next time you're around if you want to try before you buy?

I don't understand the question? Surely any carbon fork made for a 29er will have been designed and built to withstand the punishment it is likely to get. Unless, of course, the manufacturer publishes a rider weight limit to indicate their design parameters.

The on-one ones are fine, I'm not quite as heavy as ton but no issues with the pair I had on my old ss.

Get your eyes of me fox's J. Any hoo its not for that bike. Druidh. Its all about the feel of them. Not whether they will break. Don can i lick them all up and down and in the steerer.

It would depend on how stiff the manufacturer designed them to be then. They could easily be made more stiff than steel if that was what was wanted.

No but I'll let you look at them through a window or something ๐Ÿ˜‰
If you wana have a go at winning them then you know what you have to do, I.E. Build a SS, mtfu, enter ssec, then beg* ๐Ÿ˜‰

*begging won't actually help, there is already a category that these beauties have been pencilled in for!
