The team cars on the TDF all have an impressive collection of spare bikes on their roofracks, do they have specially strengthened fixing points to cope with the weight?
I'm sure the Max loading of most car roofrack fixing points is about 75kg and that includes the rack....
A full bike usually weighs less than 7kg though. How many do they carry?

I've driven a team car with one of those Belgian racks, I will say you need to check the mounts from time to time. At no point did I have a team bike bouncing down the motorway at 6 am....
Looks like Leo needs to come up with some sort of back seat wheel and tool storage solution.
