Good day,

This coming week's ride will be at glentress for a wee change.

Thinking leave our shop at 6pm sharp - kitted and riding by 1915 (ish).

We will obviously need to arrange who is shotgunning with who.

Any drivers are welcome to some free food from the shop for their troubles if that helps.

If you have space, post here and by some magic we will work out a plan.

Thinking a blast round the Red, or up Red to Boundary Trail for the down bit. We can decide on the day.

Advise lights on this one based on faff levels last week ๐Ÿ˜€

We have some to 'lend' if anyone needs. Let me know and i will charge em up.

Oh and whisky is welcome Mr Menmuir so get mixing!

But I was going to put the BW away for the summer. can't make it anyway, busy on Wed night. There was still quite a bit of snow and trees down on the boundary trail two weeks ago and we had two go down deliverance as the forest road was solid with trees down all over it as was the walkers path which takes you back towards spooky wood.

Doubtful I'll make it for 7.15 so won't commit, but might see you down there.

mark, i was there last week, and there was still snow on the boundary trail. the fireroad shortcut back to the red was also shut due to fallen trees which meant deliverance and redemption were the only options to get back so it might be worth checking if the fireroad is open again so you don't get caught short on the lights front.

hurt my ankle again last night so no mtb'ing this week for me ๐Ÿ™

So crampons are advised then? I like adventures!

May be a red then if people feel more like riding than hiking.

Clare - Get well soon etc

I'll see whether I'm feeling less tired come tomorrow and make a decision about Wednesday then. I'd probably head to Glentress from work (Craigmillar). I'm also tempted by the prospect of a more relaxed ride with MTBscotland at Devilla on Wednesday evening.
