Anyone have them and rate them?
Have some spendo for Xmas - saw some Northwave Celsius boots in Go Outdoors a few weeks ago and love the idea of them and they're within range now.
I do suffer with cold feet - currently use Sealskkinz socks with older white DX shoes for MTB and Shimano road shoes on roadie. I could put SPD pedals on roadie for winter to maximise their use - will be training for March 6th 71 mile sportive so they'll def see use over next few months. The lure of warm and dry feet over winter is way better than cold, wet feet.....should I do it and if so what ones really work well? Cheers

Winter boots are great purchase, you may want to size up so you can wear Sealskins and still wiggle your toes!

I have the Shimano MW-81 from last winter. Use them every ride this time of year with woolie boolie socks. On the road bike, feet stay dry and warm, but on the MTB, if it's really wet the water gets in over the top eventually, but it's kind of warm and wet if you know what I mean. Much better than my previous Sealskins and standard shoes.

And size up as above.

I suffer from cold toes to and bought a pair of the NW celius from evens last week (price matched to wiggle) wore them twice now and for cycling they are brilliant really warm (Definatley size up) with a pair of merino socks.
Only downside is they are not great to walk in, especially in the peaks were I ride.
But overall they are miles better than the spesh defrosters that they replaced.

Specialized Defroster's a couple of years old now but perfect in the weather we're having at the moment.

I actually prefer shoes that let water in, and therefore out very quickly. Cheap merino Ulvang shoes that keep your feet toasty warm even when wet

Lake 303s, best purchase ever! When they're dead I will invest in another pair!

Got some Specialized Defrosters, not the warmest but are great at keeping dry.

My north wave Celsius are coming into their 4th winter, still warm and waterproof, my summer shoes are old white dx's too, the Celsius are noticeably stiffer in the sole but I find them more comfortable.

On my second pair of northwave Celsius boots. There very warm and waterproof. If used with over trousers down over the boots they stay dry on 30 mile off road rides in a wet muddy lake district

Just picked the new style ones up from Go Outdoors. They price matched Leisure Lakes at £109.99 then knocked another 10% off so £99 - bargain!

My Northwave's are possibly the single best cycling related purchase I have made. Use them both off and on the road and the only time I got wet feet was when the rain was so heavy, it ran down my tights into the boots but as others have said, your feet stay warm!
