The kids bike has got old style QR dropouts ... with the 5mm skewer
Various googling seems to show that these might or mint not be usable with a different axle however half of this seems to be 5+ years old... and whether syntace was going to stick work etc.??
I'm looking at getting a new set of wheels as he shares them across 2 bikes but the current Superstar 20% off has no stock on QR for the rear.... (and hasn't for months) ...
If SS have the 10mm rear adapter in stock you can use a DT Swiss 10mm QR through bolt instead-
I've got one on my BFe and they're much nicer than feeble roadie skewers.
Damn.... the 10mm is also on the not available .. only 12mm ๐
This'll fit SS Switch hubs (they're rebranded Novatec 4-in-1 882s)-
If you have a 135x12 rear hub you can convert it to 135mm QR standard by sticking one of these in the hub.
Obviously 142x12 or 148x12 wont fit as the hubs axle is too wide to fit the frame.
If you have a 135x12 rear hub you can convert it to 135mm QR standard by sticking one of these in the hub.
If you've got a 135x12 hub just get one of these https://www.rosebikes.com/article/reverse-qr-axle-adapter/aid:713184
I've got one for my pitch and it massively stiffened the rear end
