Just got the bike out to replace a broken shifter, and the steering feels really notchy and stiff - it was fine when I put it away a couple of weeks ago (I've been ill!)
Headset is about 5 months old, sealed bearings etc, so I'm a bit baffled as to how notchyness could have set in so quickly, especially as it was completely fine before.
Any ideas before I strip the headset?

Left wet (unknowingly), water in the headset, rusty bearings? Strip the bearings, it's most likely to be them if nothing else is obviously catching (check cables haven't got tangled).

Gotta be the bearings, take it apart and check 'em.
