Just a thought. As a lot of us seem to be 'between jobs' at the moment, I wonder if anyone fancied getting together to moan about the economy/government/planning the murder of bankers while riding bikes.

It might stop the descent into Jeremy Kyle, shoplifting and drinking white lightning in shop doorways.

Anyone fancy it? I'm just thinking where I'm going to ride this afternoon. Suns out. I think a little jaunt over Darwen Moor and Belmont/Rivington may be in order.

I've never ridden the descent into Jeremy Kyle, is that near Horwich?

You'll all be pleased to hear that the inaugural Dole Scum ride was a resounding success.

Glorious sunshine and clear blue skies up on top of Winter Hill. Apologies to those of you stuck behind your desks, but hey..... you're probably not bricking it about where your next meal is coming from. So I'm allowed to exploit the only plus point 🙂

A serious pointer here. Off-peak train fares are there to be exploited during the day. A return from Manchester city centre to Horwich was £3.70. Thats a bit of a bargain for getting you out into the sticks for a run out.

And as we all know, a good few muddy miles is the best anti-depressant in the world.

I'm checking out likely destinations for tomorrow. If any of you burdens-on-the-taxpayer fancy it

Anyone in East Anglia fancy a mid-week mud-fest?
