Just got home from work and opened up Rockshox box containing new Sektors from CRC. Box is just slightly bashed Rockshox one addressed to myself.
Opened up box and noted a few strange things....
Service seals package had been opened.
Couple of small scratches on fork stanchions.
Red grease evident around seal on one stanchion.
Weird.....
So.....think an email with some pics and call is on the cards tomorrow.

They send out customer returns on a regular basis IME, some of them in secondhand shabby condition, piss poor and opportunistic if you ask me.
I'm sure Northwind has had no such experience though! everything he's bought has been perfect and lasted forever. His land of unicorns, world peace and reasoned discourse is something we can all aspire too, if we try hard enough!

Mate of mine got some Easton wheels from CRC which were clearly returns.
They replaced them without problem.
But the postman left the replacement by his back gate and someone nicked em.
So they replaced those too!
(the last 2 lines are irrelevant, but quite amusing)

I had similar with Merlin in the past. Saying that, Merlin have been spot on the last couple of times I've used them.
I think someone has comprehension issues....
Again crc are not alone in doing this. Imagine my disgust after spending £500 on a set of 36's to from Cycle Surgery to find that they have been used and clunk on compression and that I waited extea long time just being fobbed off that they needed to be sent from one place to another then themselves to be sent.
Oh how naive I was.
Merlin also did same with a set of avid ultimates which had broken lever clamps.
It's just not cricket!

(FWIW my sektors were perfectly reliable, performance was average but nothing ever went wrong)

I had 4 forks sent out to me from PlanetX before the finally sent me a pair that weren't damaged. Admittedly I don't believe they were seconds, just the fact that each time they were sent in a tissue-paper thin box.
But don't get me started on it, it is a saga I have tried to forget.

OP - yes, send them back! Could see how plenty of people wouldn't on some gear though, particularly if bought just before a holiday (which is when most of my purchases seem to be made!).

Although I thought Northwind was stalking me, he seemed to post everytime I posted. Recently my bins have been unusually arranged in my garden, a car with blacked out windows has been parked opposite and I keep getting phone calls with what sounds like a man and a very distressed slobbering dog weird?!?! which is best xbox one or PS4?
