The E bike my OH/son use (as in, OH OR son..they're not the same person...!!) has just been adorned with a lovely mudhugger on the rear.. so no more muddy jackets.
But downtube options are really limited as I can't use an elastic band type mount (as the battery needs to come out, and the downtube is huge..)

Can anyone think of a "3m stick on type solution"?

I was thinking of a nice flat mount to adhere, with a curved profile (to mimic the tubing of a normal down tube) the mudguard cound then adhere to..

Is this a job for the 3d printing thread perhaps??

a long RRP or mudhugger fork mounted guard. haven't used a downtube mounted guard in years, i thought they had pretty much been superceded.

jam-bo

I think you're right... RRP max thingy ordered...

The SR Aions on the bike have a neat bolt-on little guard, but i'll keep that for summer!

Can you get a crud guard or similar and put in a slot and use voile straps or similar?

As earlier, RRP proguard will do the job well, i use one and it's spot on for the front end, just have to be careful with those large rear mudhuggers as they're easily knocked off in certain scenarios, so always be wary of how they're stored/used/etc and always remember to wrap the frame before putting them on, they eat through paint with usage!

I have found that the enormous downtube on my Levo is a pretty effective mudguard. Add a fork bridge one and you’re sorted.

Crud XL Fender is the daddy of all the front mudguards I've tried.
