[Closed] Stem to match Renthal Fatbar Lite Carbon

Just fitted a set of Renthal Fatbar Lite Carbons to my bike, along with a Thomson stem. Trouble is, it all looks a bit crap.

So, if you've got a set of the above handlebars, with a nice looking 70mm stem, can you post a photo? I know it's tarty, but that's how I like my bikes!

Only available in a 50mm at the moment, but a 70mm in the pipeline apparently... will probably hold on until they come along.

There's nowt betterer than a Thomson. But it does mean you need a Thomson seat post to go with it.

Thats a great sounding setup, maybe you just need a splash of colour like the different coloured faceplates Thomson do?

I've been waiting ages for the 70mm renthal stem.
I've tried contacting renthal to ask when it's out but they never reply.

I'd seriously look for another stem as you could be waiting forever for renthal to bring out a 70mm version.

In the end I went for a Easton Havoc in 65mm length.

Ditto. I've never had a Renthal product that wasn't first class.

Thing is they've covered them in garish logos, including a centre graphic which looks pretty ugly under most stems- it's like it was designed to look good on a shelf not on a bike. So I think pretty much anything is going to look a bit silly. But a solid front faceplate at least will cover up most of the middle graphic.

I'd go with a Gusset Staff, well priced, decent weight, good looking, and doesn't do anything untoward. You can spend 3 times as much for a fancier stem but you'll not know any difference when riding.

I think it's ok if your colour scheme is black and gold ๐Ÿ™‚

I'll flog you a Gusset Staff in 60mm if you want.

What kind of nutbag wants a 70mm stem with 740mm bars anyway?

Not from EBay - reputable US Sellers doing them for about half the price of a Renthal stem. Delighted with mine.
