I'm organising a riding trip to Scotland from Madrid (some of you may recall from an earlier thread). For the second half of the week we're going to be near the Cairngorms.
I think I've narrowed down the choice of accommodation to either the Pottery Bunkhouse near Laggan (close to Wolftrax) or the Cairngorm Lodge (closer to the Rothiemurchus estate for the riding there). There are currently 24( 8O) of us so needs to be somewhere fairly big, though we will get dropped off by coach and so won't have any transport in the evenings.
Has anyone stayed in either of these places to recommend them?
Pottery Bunkhouse is great. Fantastic cake on tap. Good, clean facilities. Well set up for groups of bikers.
Just don't expect the outside jaccuzzi to be cheap!
Pub within walking distance of the potteries bunkhouse as well.
You have to pay extra for the jacuzzi!!!???
Are kids allowed in the pub?
Sorry - you can only eat what you bought on the premises
Its a hotel and does food so probably - Monadhliath hotel if you want to ask them http://www.lagganbridge.com/
