Flow rim with yellow tape and valve attached, nobby nic, cant get the thing blown up with the track pump! Do I need a compressor?
did you take the core out of the valve and soap the beads of the tyre?
I'm running stans rims and yellow tape and have had a few problems myself. Basilcally if the tyres have been folded up the shape doesn't quite get there! with a track pump. I had to resort to CO2 or a compressor for the first fit got them back on with track pump second time round but didn't fold them in between, left them hanging!
is it a UST nobby nic - not that it really changes anything but they have v broad "feet" to the bead & maybe failing to jump up onto the rim.
lots of soapy water worked for me
pre-inflating with a tube in is also q good
(I also recently had a UST NN with a faulty moulding & it just kept blowing off the rim - it has a real bulge in the sidewall at one point - best check it's not that before you ride ?)
Its not the soapy water... its all about the bubbles!
found this out last night! Loads of bubbles and they pop on a treat!
Hmmm, take the valve core out you say.........<runs back to garage>
Genius - thanyou STW crew - took the valve core out, pumped like a maniac and got good pressure, then added some soap suds to the bead, pumped again and it popped straight on - who's a thought it - cheers guys ๐
