We will be in touch
Normally I'd go custom build but local is super busy with repairs, so looking at off the shelf options. Looking for slightly lighter than my current rear (Spank/Pro4) and will be run with a lighter insert than the Vittoria I have in currently. 75kg rider but like to ride fast.
I only need a rear but buying a pair seems much simpler. Aware some of the Stans MK3 rims have cracked around the spoke holes but the S1 has stainless eyelet inserts so maybe more robust (but heavier)
DT XM421/481 on DT350 seems to be £255 from Germany (rear only) but not sure on lead time.
Hunt are pair only and £369/end of June.
Anything else worth looking at?
Newmen? Been really pleased with mine, bought a second set.

Crc have a bargain dt e1700 rear if you need xd freehub. 196!
I think for this wheel the m1700 would fit my requirements better although that is a good price. Also on Shimano!
Newmen more £££ but will look at closer
My S1 Flow rims are as solid as you'd hope from Stan's, but my Neo rear freehub cracked after a dozen rides. It got warranted through Evans, but it took nearly two months. Been fine in the year since.
I’m in the same position. Need some 29 boost wheels but struggling to find anything that falls into my ‘budget build’.
Got the Newman wheels on my full sus and they are very good wheels but are on same level as DT price wise (and to be fair performance).
I had a chosen wheel set a while ago which I think the S1 Hubs use and that cracked in short time too.
I wonder if superstar will do a sale at any point in the near future as even their custom wheels seem pretty pricey.
I got a set of the Arch S1 (albeit non-Boost) recently, on sale at Winstanleys for £175. Rate them so far, though I've only had a couple of rides out on them - they replaced a set of Kinesis Maxlight IX to go slightly wider on the rim width. Depending on what width your after, the slightly newer Maxlight IX Trail might be worth a look if they do a Boost variant.
Thanks. Had spotted a set of Stans on Pinkbike but will pass as would rather warranty given the above!
Still looking- any opinion on Pro4 on XM481 vs DT M1700? Both sets are around £300 (used).
I've been trawling ebay and Pinkbike but slim pickings!
