As i understand the pro2 qr rear axle is the same diameter as the 10mm bolt thru axle. It has a stpe inside it - could this (and the end caps) be drilled/machined out on a lathe to save buying a new axle and end caps?
I think you would be OK drilling out the axle, but not the end caps. Not worth messing them up for the cost IMO.
Why not the end caps? the thru axle replaces the thinner part anyway
Yes, it'll work- didn't Trout do this just the other week?
why not just buy the rear bolt conversion for about 25 quid?

I bought the conversion kit and just suspect that drilling the end caps will end in a mess, especially the plastic one.
ps. going off your forum name, I didn't notice any difference on my heckler but it did improve my cotic soul.
yes I did just that a few weeks ago drilled it out for a 12 mm maxle type
the end caps too no problem .
though it did help that I have a lathe to do it with
Tazzy their is a clue as to why i dont want to buy the proper one - the £25 price tag for something i already have
