Having thought through the alternatives for transporting the tandem I'm gravitating towards chopping it up and stuffing it in an estate car (via S&S couplings). The van/tow bar/roof rack alternatives are not really doing it for me and at least this way I can have a nice car and easily transport the tandem safely and securely.
Anybody got any real world experiences of retro fitting S&S couplings to solos or tandems? Pitfalls? Anecdotes? Do's and/or don'ts? Alternatives?
