Thinking of using the new Sram X9 2x10 on my next bike, does anyone have any real world use yet, any issues?

I'm running xx with an x9 cassette for the winter. I think SRAM 2x10 is great. Had a big few days in the lakes this week and the range of gears was fine and the front shifting was great. Go for it.

Did you switch out a xx to x9 cassette for winter?

Yes. I was worried it would be an expensive ornament by spring, and I don't think I'm likely to be able to justify a replacement.

Do they wear that fast?

Actually I've been really impressed with mine. Been using the bike since February, replaced the chain 2 weeks ago (the other one having been original and done a full season of racing) and it was absolutely fine on the cassette.

So... XX cassettes are silly money, but they last!

Even so, I wouldn't care to use an XX cassette through winter now there are cheaper alternatives.

Back OT I've not used X.9, but have been pretty impressed with XX all year.

I've just set up an X9 rear mech with double tap shifter. First ride tomorrow. It dosn't work with XT 10spd cassette though - I didn't realise the spacing was different.

Just had X9 2x10 delivered, looks nice though the shifters look a bit cheap imo.
