I've been trying to work out whether my Sram Level T brakes have the Bleeding Edge bleed port or not. Looking at the SRAM tech doc (page 8 on https://www.sram.com/globalassets/document-hierarchy/service-manuals/sram-mtb/brakes/gen.0000000005817-rev-a-2016-2019-level-and-level-t-english.pdf) it looks like a standard threaded bleed port, but then it also mentions the Bleeding Edge bleed kit is required. Any thoughts?
Does the bleed nipple on the caliper fit the bleeding edge hose? If so, it is, if not, it'll be a standard bleed nipple.
Not on the p8 pic.
It'll have a rubber cover if it's bleeding edge. Just a torx screw if normal.
I don't actually have a bleed kit yet, so the reason for my post was to determine which kit to buy (i.e. whether I needed the Bleeding Edge option).
If you have a Torx bleed port on the caliper it's standard fitting.
I think Level T use an older caliper than the Level Ultjmate / Level TL. The fancier ones have bleeding edge, it doesn’t look like the Level T does. So you can get a cheapie bleed kit from someone like epic with the 2 syringes in that screw into the bleed ports on the lever and caliper. Messier than bleeding edge at the caliper end but the same at the lever end.
