hello all.....im trying to take off a sram magic link from a 10 speed chain.......the link is free but the pins will not release....im only used to 9 speed,which i regularly take off for cleaning etc, am i doing something wrong or is it different method for a 10 speed?.....

The 10-speed link, called a Powerlock, is not reusable like the 9-speed; so you're going to need to use a chain tool. If you want Powerlink-type operation you could use a KMC 10-speed Missing Link.
