I've an original axs dropper, one of the pins that contact the battery has 'worn down' so it's about half the size of the other so I get erratic contact with the battery. Has anyone else had the same issue and come up with a permanent fix?

I don't really feel confident to put a blob solder on there.....

Had the same with an axs derailleur, I bought cheap axs battery state of charge reader from amazon for about 13 quid, took it apart and desoldered the battery pins from it's circuit board, and soldered them in place of the worn pins on the derailleur.

Yeah, your method is pretty much the best fix I can find, just wondering if there's a blob of something I can stick on there that doesn't involve a complete break down of the head of the seat post?

I've use this before to quickly fix circuit boards.

I don't know how it will stick to the small contact, but its got to be worth a go for £5
