I'm doing a bit of spinning lately at the gym. In a class - not alone. We start with a good 7 mins warm up and then add resistance. Nothing too drastic, although I usually do the warm up at quite a high cadence. I'm finding I verge on getting a stitch 15 mins or so into the session.
I very rarely get a stitch on a real bike.
Is it probably just the higher cadence? anything else to look out for?
cheers
Have you eaten or drunk a large volume of water 30 mins before the session?
Breathe 'on the other foot'. Seriously - the revelation for stitches when running was to literally breathe on the other foot. The theory I was told is that you interrupt the rhythm - it works every time for me, regardless of the reason.
Not drinking or eating much before hand. I'll try the breathing thing though
cheers
crickey I haven't had a stitch in years... forgotten what it's like !
I'd say the cause is something you're eating or drinking at some point during the day.
