I've noticed the shifter cable pinch bolt has a fair bit of play' and when removed its stripped threads (probably from trying to get tension at an angle with the swing arm in the way).
So.....is it 'e-type'? Or is there a Specialized-specific one that I need to track down?

Does it mount directly to the frame? I know Spesh use E-type mechs with the mount plate removed and then bolted onto the frame so it becomes a top-swing direct mount.
What year
09 Frame. Yep- it mounts straight onto the front triangle/BB area.
More than likely an E-type with the plate removed then.
From Specialized archive
FRONT DERAILLEUR Shimano M660 SLX, DMD, top swing, dual pull
Did the Bike Scene offers tempt you, had a call from them today, mine has arived today from Specialized, going up tommorow to try before I buy
Tracey I'd love one but can't afford 400 ATM. I've had my Enduro a while but doing a swapsy on a 10' Spesh Stumpy frame.
It's an E-Type on Enduro, Stumpjumper & Pitch from that year.
