Hi All,

I have a 2012 XO Chainset but I cannot get it to fit a new BB as there appears to be a step-up in the spindle diameter on the drive side. I am pretty sure the one on my other bike doesn't do this. Have they changed and do I need a specific BB?

Any ideas?

Clearly I could take the other one to bits and check but am trying to avoid that!!

Cheers

What you have is a GXP crank. Hope do a neat converter that you can use on your new bb to make it all fit.

SC,

I have the SRAM GXP BB but the step up on the drive side stops it going all the way in. The spindle is too big not the other way round.

Cheers

Cups on the wrong side?
Pushing axle through smaller hole?
Difficult job fitting cups to the frame like this though!

Yes, the drive side of the spindle will bottom out on the DS bearing. If there is not enough spindle on the non-drive-side to allow the NDS arm to do up without binding you may have your spacers wrong.
