[Closed] Spain end of Aug. .too hot for mtb in. ?

Booked up a few weeks in Andilucia end of August..will it be too hot to ride .....possibly drive to Sierra nevada to go biking ..what do you think ...also anyone know if I can rent a decent bike out there ?

It can certainly be hot, a few of the guiding companies close down for August.

Early morning and evenings should be ok though

Only ever been in August 4 times now hot yes but I found it ok

I'm near Denia just now, seen lots of roadies & It's been high 20's all week.
Too warm for me to be biking.

I was out there in April and it was overly warm for me then ๐Ÿ™‚

still thinking about a November trip though...

Also ..any recommendations as to where...flights booked and a short list of villa's. ..just thought a recommended area would help ..

We went with Ciclo Montana a few yrs ago in July. It was very hot....low 40s for a few days. I wouldn't do it again, but it was ok. We just drank tons and kept the pace steady...

I rode in the Algarve on a hire bike in September when my missus was there on a business trip, 32-35 degrees, had to keep riding to get a breeze so I didn't ****ing pass out from heat stroke.

Apparently the trick according to the local riders is not to stop.
