Is there a good / definitive list of which tyre sealants are compatible and which you can’t mix / need a wash out of the tyre when you change?
I've always just mixed them, no problem or reaction in the last 11 years or so
2 different sealants doubles your chances of sealing a hole. No I’m not accepting questions at this time.
Safest bet is to just always fit a brand new tyre with fresh sealant after each ride.
Don't forget to retape the rim.

I always carry spare tyres on every ride and switch for the ride home, just to be sure.
Not sure I can re-tape a rim on the trail - should I just carry a couple of spare wheels, one front one back?
And thanks (I think - the first couple of answers were used at least).
I’ve always just stuck with Stan’s at home, however there have been a number of occasions on holiday where I’ve had to add another sealant and it’s never been a problem.
Just carry 2 rims as you can replace those...save weight and space, no point making it difficult for yourself!
Rims and tyres? Think of the contamination from the frame.
Proper answer: I buy sealant on larger quantities (500ml/1L) and keep buying the same stuff. This sidesteps any mixing issues.
I don't know why these amateurs are popping up with suggestions of carrying spare wheels. I carry another bike on my back just to cover all eventualities
I just leave the bike at home and go for a walk. No bike, no punctures.
My butler rides with me on their cargo bike* I generously purchased for them along with my uphill bike, my riding along bike, my enduro & my downhill bike so I always have the correct bike for whatever the trail comes up with.
*obviously not an e-cargo bike, I'm not made of money.

And adjust your suspension settings to account for the different specific gravities of the fluids. It plays havoc with unsprung weight.

Maybe it's time this thread was re-tyred...

Always used Stans or Stans Race. Never had an issue related to sealant in the last 19 years!

bloody ebike riders

After a few pints at the local craft beer place I'd swear that it feels like both my feet are punctured. I even start zigging and zagging down the pavement just like a flat front wheel.
Most are pretty similiar chemistry.
OKO (and Halo, and I think Nutrak and Uberbike) are waterbased and aren't compatible with most other sealants. What actually happens if you mix them, I don't know. I've put them in tyres that have previously had stans with no problems though.
dunno, I've mixed Stan's and Joe's over the past ten years and my bikes have definitely got a bit slower going uphill and more tentative going down. Don't do it kids
I once mixed Muc-Off and Peaty's and now have Dad-Bod and a dodgy knee.
I mixed up Jacuzzi and Yakuza, and now I'm in hot water with the Japanese Mafia.
I've only used Stans or Doc Blue (which is Stans anyway) - no issues there unsurprisingly. That reminds me, I need to top up the rear on my MTB as that had a disagreement with some flint on the last ride.
